Each of the five verses is scored for SATB choir, while the refrain is unison with descant. Verses sing nicely in unison as well, making it accessible for cantor or choir; however, the choral writing is lush yet manageable for most SATB choirs. Consider singing the verses in unison the first half of Lent and adding choral parts as the solemnity progresses toward the Triduum.
