The O Antiphons

The ten short settings of the O Antiphons in this octavo are adapted by Paule Freeburg, DC from traditional and well-known Advent texts, imaginatively set for a cappella SATB choir by Christopher Walker. Though the antiphons were originally meant to be sung during the seven days leading up to Christmas, they may also be sung throughout the entire Advent season, during Mass and for other non-liturgical celebrations such as Lessons and Carols or for reconciliation and prayer services. The approachable and tuneful musical style of the antiphons will be accessible to most choirs. Singing these antiphons will enrich your parish_x0019_ s spiritual journey during the Advent season.
