Intended as a festive and energetic opening hymn for choir and assembly, John Foley_x0019_ s setting of a text of Timothy Dudley-Smith celebrates over four verses the topics of love of God for us, gathering, and praise. The rhythmic and harmonic language is straightforward and predictable, immediately comprehensible for any congregation.
