Seek a Sign, the Prophet Counseled

This new piece for Advent by skilled composer, Justin Wedgewood, and accomplished text writer, Michael Joncas, is upbeat and driving. The darkness of its minor key is balanced by the energetic syncopations which musically depict the excitement of the lyrics. According to the text writer, the lyrics _x001C_ celebrate the events leading up to the birth of Jesus, but in such a way that the hymn could also be used during the Christmas season._x001D_ The vocal arrangement is split into two parts for high and low voices, with an optional fifth verse descant. Along with the keyboard and guitar scores, an alternate keyboard part is also included for a simplified accompaniment.
