This simply but lovely verbatim setting of Psalm 34 is scored for SATB chorus with keyboard and guitar accompaniment and a solo instrument part. There are three settings of the psalm for the various Sundays of the Church year_x0014_ two settings using the response _x001C_ Taste and see the goodness of the Lord_x001D_ and one using the response _x001C_ The Lord hears the cry of the poor._x001D_ Verses begin chanted but ease into a metered turnaround, which neatly sets up the assembly response.
