Peace on Earth

DvoY_x0001_ák_x0019_ s Larghetto from the New World Symphony has inspired text writers to fit words to its haunting melody for over 125 years. Here, we find six short verses set against a longer refrain_x0014_ almost like a call and response_x0014_ meditating on the universality of the desire for peace. The piece is scored for SATB choir, keyboard, guitar, and oboe.
