Though primarily a choral hymn, it can also be sung tenderly by a soloist or a smaller ensemble as a post-Communion meditation. The full SATB setting (with descant) is accompanied by piano, guitar, and solo instrument in C. This piece can be used throughout the year at liturgies where God_x0019_ s love and unity among the faithful are salient themes. It can be effectively used as a gathering song (especially during Lent) and is meant to be sung prayerfully and passionately.
