Mother Mary, Pray for Us

This beautiful example of modern hymnody is Sarah Hart_x0019_ s first song devoted solely to Mary. Set in triple time, it has a slow, reflective harmonic rhythm at first, which supports the stasis of the melody; both gain energy toward the end of each of the three verses. It is simply scored for three-part choir, piano, and guitar.
