Recalling the days of the Latin Mass when readings were often chanted on solemn feast days, this musical setting based on Isaiah 55_x0014_ composed for the Easter Vigil_x0014_ can be sung by a soloist throughout or enhanced by SAB choir and/or the included solo instrument parts. With expressive melodic leaps, the song seeks to portray in music the thirst of the assembly for the fulfillment of God_x0019_ s covenant.
