Journeysong

The four stanzas of this hymn are a reflection on the Emmaus story, focusing primarily on themes of unity, journey, discipleship, and the pilgrim church. SATB choir is employed in varying configurations for each verse and supported by organ accompaniment (except the a cappella third verse). Because of its textual content, this piece is liturgically fit as a gathering song, but could be used during the marriage rite also.
