Journey to a Holy Place

This assembly song, employing an original hymn tune, is intended for Epiphany. A unique feature of this tune, which is mostly in common time, is that the refrain ending each stanza is in 3/4, highlighting its role as a punctuating element. The arrangement for SATB choir and organ uses various vocal textures, organ figuration, and an interlude to maintain musical interest throughout.
