Eternal Spirit of the Living Christ

David Hurd_x0019_ s masterful, a cappella choral setting of a moving Frank von Christierson hymn text alternates chant-based sections with freely composed statements for SATB choir in each of its three stanzas. The chant sections are based on a cantus firmus plainsong, which is the composer_x0019_ s adaptation of the _x001C_ Lord_x0019_ s Prayer_x001D_ as previously adapted by Charles Winfred Douglas.
