Create a Clean Heart/Out of the Depths

These settings of two Psalms (51 and 130) are both gentle and appropriately mournful in feel -- perfect for the Lenten season, and useful throughout the liturgical year. The first, "Create a Clean Heart in Me", is the more accessible of the two for the choir and cantor; the melody is step-wise and straightforward. "Out of the Depths" has a simple refrain, but the verses, which start with an octave leap and include some unusual chromaticism, require more virtuosity on the part of the soloist.
