Using an expansive hymn tune, FENBY, of his own composition, Inwood has majestically set Quinn_x0019_ s paraphrase of Psalm 117 for SATB choir, organ, and brass quartet. Foursquare rhythms, a fluid sense of tonality, and an expressive modulation up a step for the final verse musically depict the gravity and grandeur of the text, a stirring song of praise to the Triune God. This piece is especially suitable as an entrance song or for the Exposition of the Holy Eucharist. A simplified hymn version is also included in this octavo.
