Canticle of Mary

Based on the Magnificat, Mary_x0019_ s affirmation of the power of God, this is a beautiful chanted setting with keyboard and/or guitar accompaniment, although choirs with experience singing in a free-chant style will also have success singing it a cappella. While primarily in unison, splashes of choral harmony are used to great effect, especially at cadences. It may be used at Evening Prayer or as a song of praise at any Marian feast, and especially on the Fourth Sunday of Advent.
