Canticle of Creation

Through Laudato Si_x0019_ , Pope Francis invites all people to take care of our Earth. Motivated by this task, Dan Schutte adapted Saint Francis of Assisi_x0018_ s _x0018_ The Canticle of the Sun_x0019_ to this captivating melody, reiterating Saint Francis_x0018_ s conviction that nature itself is the mirror of God. Dan has written an arrangement for SAB choir and descant, giving the musicians plenty of options for how each verse is sung and played. Parts for flute and oboe are included.
