Born This Day

The text is based on the famous and beautiful passage from Isaiah 9 read on the Feast of the Nativity of the Lord_x0014_ Mass at Midnight. The gospel, anthemic feel of the song will inspire a _x001C_ big choir_x001D_ sound, no matter how large or small the choir. There is a deliberate hint of _x001C_ Joy to the World_x001D_ in the interlude between the refrain and the verses that will be greatly enhanced by a solo instrument. The composer has written parts for solo instrument in C, Bb, and Eb giving the musicians more options.
