Blessed Be That Maid Marie

This lovely arrangement for Advent Lessons and Carols, captures the feel of a traditional English folk-song. The ten verses of this carol setting can be sung very simply selecting the verses most appropriate for a particular Marian feast or the full setting can be used. The melody for the verses offers a deliberate faint reminiscence of Benjamin Britten_x0019_ s _x001C_ Balulalow_x001D_ setting in his Ceremony of Carols (1942).
