As Christ Is for Us

Inspired by the mission statement of her parish, _x001C_ to be Christ for others as Christ is for us,_x001D_ Whitaker has composed a song that keenly captures Christ_x0019_ s message of selflessness. From the care of those less fortunate than ourselves to the stewardship of our environment, this lyrical text is set to a gently rocking accompaniment in triple meter. A part for solo instrument and a descant for the final refrain add interest to the two-part setting of this assembly-friendly piece.
