_x001C_ As a Mother Cares_x001D_ takes the words of the prophets Isaiah and Hosea along with David_x0019_ s words from Psalm 139 to help the faithful understand the nature of God_x0019_ s mercy and love in terms we can understand by using the analogy of the love a mother has for her children. The melody is chant-like, reminiscent of the church_x0019_ s rich chant heritage. Arranged for an SATB choir, this piece also offers parts for Solo instrument in C and Bb.
